Monday Mini: Go Outside
This week's Monday Mini is a little reminder to slow down, step away from the screens, and spend some time enjoying the great outdoors.
Unlike many of my other minis, this one doesn't include a photo just yet. Instead, I've created plenty of layered elements with space tucked behind them so I can easily add a photo, extra journalling, or a special keepsake later on.
The sentiment on this mini says:
"Go Outside"
And I think that's a message many of us need from time to time.
Spending time outdoors is one of the simplest ways to disconnect from phones, computers, social media, and the endless to-do list. It gives us a chance to reconnect with nature, enjoy the places we love, spend quality time with family and friends, and simply take a breath.
Whether it's a walk around the neighbourhood, a day at the beach, a picnic in the park, or time spent in the garden, getting outside can do wonders for the mind, body, and spirit.
That's exactly what inspired this week's project.
A Mix of Old and New
As always, I had a great time rummaging through my stash and pulling together bits and pieces from different collections.
This mini features:
-
A large Heidi Swapp Resist Butterfly die-cut
-
Some much-loved older papers
- Black cardstock
-
Rustic brown Project Life Card that looks like timber veneer
-
Layered scraps and leftover pieces from previous projects
I love creating these Monday Minis because they encourage me to use supplies that might otherwise sit forgotten in a drawer.
A Little Challenge
Now for a bit of fun...
Can you guess which company made the orange background paper?
It's from an older collection, so it might test your memory!
If you think you know the answer, comment below:
Use Your Scraps
One of the biggest goals of the Monday Mini series is to encourage everyone to use what they already have.
Those leftover scraps, die-cuts, tags, and embellishments can often become the stars of a project.
Sometimes all it takes is a few layers, a meaningful sentiment, and a little creativity to turn forgotten supplies into something special.
So dig into your stash, pull out those scraps, and create a little #MondayMini Magic of your own.
I'd love to see what you make!
Until next time...
