WHAT ARE EMBOSSING FOLDERS?

An embossing folder is a specialised tool used in crafting and paper arts to add texture, patterns, or designs to paper and other materials. It is typically made of two plastic sheets hinged together with a pattern or design etched into one or both of the sheets.

Embossing folders come in a wide variety of designs, ranging from simple geometric patterns and floral motifs to intricate textures and detailed images. They are a popular tool in card making, scrapbooking, and other paper crafts, as they can add depth and visual interest to projects. Additionally, embossing folders can be used with different types of paper and materials, such as cardstock, vellum, foil, and even some lightweight metals, allowing crafters to achieve a variety of effects and textures in their creations.

HOW TO USE AN EMBOSSING FOLDER?

To use an embossing folder, you place a piece of paper or cardstock inside the folder, close it, and then run it through a die-cutting or embossing machine. The machine applies pressure to the folder, which in turn presses the paper against the raised design on the folder's surface. This process creates a three-dimensional, raised image or pattern on the paper.
