Decorating the Lid
Now comes the fun part—bringing your flower cluster to life!
Start by tucking some fussy-cut flowers behind your main flower cluster. Layer in a few leaves and smaller flowers to create a fuller look. Don't be afraid to overlap the pieces slightly; those layers help create depth and make the arrangement feel more natural.
Once you're happy with the flowers, add a few finishing embellishments. Flat-back pearls, tiny hearts, mini flowers and a touch of glitter all work beautifully together. Rather than placing the pearls in a straight line or evenly spaced pattern, try scattering them around the cluster for a softer, more organic look.
....For the front panel, add a few decorative elements to tie everything together. Wooden safety pins, tiny hearts and a few pearls will add interest without overwhelming the design.
....Keep the back panel simple but coordinated by repeating some of the embellishments used on the front. A few wooden safety pins and tiny hearts are all that's needed to create a balanced finish.
....To finish the box, wrap a length of pink satin ribbon around it and tie it into a bow at the front. If you'd like the bow to stay perfectly in place, add a tiny dot of glue behind it.
....Before calling your project complete, take a moment to add those final details that make all the difference.
Add a little Stickles or glitter to some of the flowers for sparkle and shine. Lightly ink the chipboard pieces to soften the edges and help them blend with the overall design. Scatter a few extra pearls if you feel any areas need a little something extra.
Finally, give the box a quick check to make sure all your embellishments are firmly attached and secure.
Now sit back and admire your beautiful keepsake box!
