Retreat Planning

I know life gets busy and finding the time to prepare for a retreat isn't always easy. Between work, family and everyday commitments, it's tempting to throw everything into a bag the night before and hope for the best. (We've all done it! 😄)

But spending just an hour or two planning your projects before the retreat can make a huge difference. Instead of wondering what to work on next or searching through piles of supplies, you'll be able to sit down, relax and get straight into creating.

One of my favourite time-saving tips is to make up project kits. Gather together the papers, embellishments, photos and any special products you'll need for each layout or project and pop them into a large zip-lock bag or project folder. Label each kit and you'll have everything ready to go when inspiration strikes.

Before every retreat, I'll usually decide on a handful of scrapbook layouts, cards or projects that I'd love to complete. I'll print my photos, choose my papers, pull out matching embellishments and pack any dies, stamps or tools I know I'll need. I also like to include a few "quick win" projects that I can work on if I feel like something a little different.

The best part? When your projects are organised, you spend far less time searching through your stash and much more time doing what you came for—creating, laughing, chatting and making memories with your crafty friends.

To help make planning even easier, I've created a  new Retreat Planning Workbook that you can download before the retreat. It's packed with helpful checklists, planning pages and prompts to help you organise your projects, write your shopping list, remember your tools and make sure nothing important gets left behind.

Whether this is your first retreat or your fiftieth, the planning guide is a fantastic resource to help you feel organised and confident before you arrive.

Download your copy, spend a little time planning, and you'll be amazed at how much more you'll achieve over the weekend. Less stress, more creating, and plenty of time to enjoy everything our retreat has to offer—that sounds like the perfect retreat to me! 💕

You can download your copy from the Retreat Hub or from the email in your inbox.
