Vintage Typewriter Brother Deluxe 220 Red -  Japanese Modernist & Hardcase Vintage from 1970's

This typewriter is in  superb condition. 

Retro red/orange Lemair Deluxe 220 portable typewriter with original black hard plastic carry case.
The typewriter and case are both in perfect condition throughout. And it works perfectly.
This is a classic example in rare condition for its age .

Measures 30cm (w) x 30cm (d) x 8cm (h)

Historical Note: This Lemair Deluxe typewriter is one of many brands manufactured by Brother Industries Ltd of Japan commencing 1960.

It was first exported to the US as a "Webster" in 1961. The Australian market soon opened up, with the Brother initially branded as a "Lemair" for premium department store sales.

By 1971, Brother was making typewriters in more than 20 languages and exporting them to 110 countries under various “brand names”.
It comes with a ribbon, however it may need re-inking.
It will be shipped in a strong box to avoid damage during transit.
