This is the Mad Hatter's craft party update page, where you can find all the information and links you need for this retreat. 📸🎨✨

Mingle with fellow crafters, share stories of your crafting journey, and create lasting memories amidst the charm and magic of this Alice in Wonderland retreat. "In a world full of possibilities, crafting is the key that unlocks the door to a magical realm of imagination."

Retreat Challenges

At the retreat, you’ll find a designated Challenge Table with information about all the challenges that I've planned for the retreat.

Each challenge will have laminated cards outlining the details about each challenge and what you need to do to participate in it. Simply pick up a card for the challenge you want to complete. Once you're done, you can return the card to the table. Alternatively, feel free to snap a photo of the card.
You'll find a hint (or a few hints) posted on the Facebook event page for each challenge. 💡

It should help you think about what challenges you might want to join in on and plan for any crafty bits you might need including photos, stamps, stencils, paints, and embellishments. Entries for the challenges will be judged independently and there is a prize for the winner of each challenge. 🎁

Challenge One

12x12 Scrapbooking Layout!

You will need to follow the verse on the challenge card and create a 12 x 12 Scrapbooking layout. Product you will need are: Bright papers from your own stash. Add some frames, tags, and embellishments. Fussy cut and use the Alice in Wonderland images from the retreat guide. Use the stamps from the challenge table.

Challenge Two

Retreat Scrapbooking Layout!

Take a Photo: Capture a fun moment of yourself or your group in front of the photo booth on Saturday night.📷 Print Your Photo: Come find me so I can print your photo for you.🖨️ Add your photo(s): to one of the double layouts on the challenge table. Decorate Your Layout using some of the Alice-themed papers and embellishments provided, or feel free to use items from your own stash. You can also cut out images from the printable and the retreat guide.

Challenge Three

Decorate your table challenge

with the Alice/Mad Hatter theme. Start decorating Thursday night and hook up with your crafty table friends before the reteat and plan some fun retreat table decorations.
The table will be judged by Kiah Ridge Staff and each person on the winning table will receive a free gift each!

Challenge Four

Mixed Media Tag - Queen of Hearts.

All you'll need to do is use the Printable I provide and fussy cut the images. Products you will need to bring along are: Acrylic paint, bling/glitter, red hearts, Techniques: Stamping and Stenciling (use you own and can be any design). Hope these hints help with your planning. The entries will be judged and the winner will win a crafty gift bag!💫😌

Retreat Activities

Book in for one of the activities at the retreat by adding your name to the lists
provided on the challenge table. Pre-Book in for the class by clicking on the image.

Activity one.

Hop down the rabbit hole, channel your inner Mad Hatter, bring your crafty hat and get creative with Jen on Thursday night for some photo booth prop making.

You can use your creations in the Photo Booth on Saturday night or incorporate them into your own projects. Don't be late for this very important date!😆

Activity Two:

Here's the deal: bring along some of your cherished washi tapes that are looking for a new home. Whether you've got duplicates, patterns that no longer inspire you, or just want to share the love, this is your chance to do it!

I'll be providing special washi tags so we can add some different washi's to the tag. So gather up those rolls of washi that deserve a new adventure, and join us for an hour or two of washi swapping. 🎨✨

Activity Three:

Join this wonderful mixed media class which will be run by Timea Toth, Starting with a canvas pencil case measuring approx 20 x 15 cm.

During the class we'll be covering one side of the pencil case with Gesso and Dylusions Acrylic paints, decorating with a gorgeous Alice in Wonderland-themed tissue paper, and incorporating stamping and stencilling techniques.
